Introduction
Meprin A subunit beta (MEP1B) belongs to the astacin family of zinc endopeptidases 1, 2. MEP1B is a disulfide-linked, tetrameric metalloendopeptidase in renal brush border membranes. MEP1B is highly regulated, secreted cell-surface metalloendopeptidase, which is amply expressed in the kidney and intestine.

| MEP1B produced in Sf9Insect cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 642 aminoacids (21-654aa) and having a molecular mass of 72.6kDa. (Molecular size onSDS-PAGE will appear at approximately 70-100kDa).MEP1Bis expressed with an8 amino acid His tag at C-Terminus and purified by proprietarychromatographic techniques. |

Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
