Introduction
Myosin light polypeptide 6 (MYL6) is a hexameric ATPase cellular motor protein. MYL6 is composed of 2 heavy chains, 2 nonphosphorylatable alkali light chains, and 2o phosphorylatable regulatory light chains. MYL6 is a myosin alkali light chain which is expressed in smooth muscle and non-muscle tissues. MYL6 partakes in generating the force for cellular movements, thus having an imperative role in overall cellular function.
Description
MYL6 Human Recombinant fused with a20 amino acid His tag at N-terminus produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing171 amino acids (1-151 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 19.1kDa. The MYL6 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Sterile Filtered colorless solution.
Formulation
The MYL6 solution (0.5 mg/ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 1mM DTT and 10% glycerol.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
