Introduction
Bromodomain Containing 2, also known as BRD2 is a transcriptionalregulator which is a member of the BET, bromodomains and extra terminal domain, family ofroteins. BRD2 links with transcription complexes and it acetylated chromatin inthe course of mitosis, and it selectively binds o the acetylated lysine-12 residue ofhistone H4 through its two romodomains. BRD2 maps to the majorhistocompatability complex MHC) class IIregion on chromosome 6p21.3, however sequence comparisonadvocate that the protein is not implicated in the immune response. BRD2has been implicated in juvenilemyoclonic epilepsy, a common form of epilepsy which grows to be visible inadolescence.
Description
BRD2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single,non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 478 amino acids (1-455 a.a) andhaving a molecular mass of 52.8kDa.
BRD2 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus& purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Formulation
BRD2 protein solution (1mg/ml) containing Phosphatebuffered saline (pH7.4), 10% glycerol and 1mM DTT.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
