Introduction
CD33is putative adhesion molecule of myelomonocytic-derived cells which mediatessialic-acid dependent binding to cells. CD33 prefers to bind toalpha-2,6-linked sialic acid. The sialic acid recognition site is masked by cisinteractions with sialic acids on the same cell surface. In the immuneresponse, CD33 perform as an inhibitory receptor upon ligand induced tyrosinephosphorylation by recruiting cytoplasmic phosphatases through their SH2domains which block signal transduction through dephosphorylation of signalingmolecules. In addition, CD33 induces apoptosis in acutemyeloid leukemia.
Description
CD33 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single,non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 265 amino acids (18-259 a.a) andhaving a molecular mass of 29.1kDa.
CD33 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus& purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Formulation
CD33 protein solution (1mg/ml) containing 20mM Tris-HClbuffer (pH 8.0), 0.4M Urea, and 10% glycerol.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please avoid freeze thaw cycles.
Purity
Greaterthan 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
